Bobbypin Boutique Rotterdam

I finally had a chance to visit Bobby Pin Boutique in Rotterdam after visiting online the past few years! Bernice has been running her store for 8 years and specializes in mid-century vintage clothing, accessories and  homewares. Bobby Pin Boutique is situated in a very pretty old building and the open space with large windows makes it a very pleasant and bright place to shop.

After a coffee and a chat I had a good browse through all the racks and displays. Everything from bathing suits to wedding dresses is available from several era’s and in a range of sizes. The walls have shelves lined with hats, gloves and scarves and tucked away in displays are beaded purses, hair accessories and jewellery.

Everything is organised by type of garment and just getting to look at all the pretty things is worth the visit! I tried on lots of things and, aside from the items I ‘ve bought, made a little wish list.

Bernice regularly has new items she presents on Bobby Pin Boutique’s social media before they are listed in the web shop, so be sure to give her a follow. She also ships internationally for my non-Dutchies.

If you’d like to visit yourself you can make a private shopping appointment through their website or pop in during one of the coming open shopping days. I took a train and bus and got there relatively easy. But, if you prefer to visit by car, the showroom is situated in a quiet street with free parking.

TIP! If you have an upcoming party or wedding the private shopping option is ideal as there’s more in the showroom than on the website!

Some of the items I’ve found in recent years:

30s bag
Gorgeous black velvet hat & clip on half moon earrings
ecosusi
40s Princess coat
50s knit set
Another very unique felt hat
